Every year, we have a Toshigoshigeiko (Kendo practice at the turning of the year) at our Dojo. Keiko starts at 11:30PM, and we practice until 11:55PM. Then we take off our Men, and we celebrate the New Year, and then we go back to practice for another 45 minutes. The 2011 Toshigoshigeiko will be at the new Dojo.
My wife makes Ozoni, which is a traditional Japanese soup with Mochi (rice cake), to be eaten on new year’s day.
